Florist flies high with bird design
Sherrie Phelps, co-owner of Lily Jones Flowers in Augusta Street, will represent the West Midlands at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show after winning the regional heat.
Sherrie’s brief was to make an Asian-inspired cake design purely from fresh flowers and foliage. She scored 92 out of 100 to become the winner for the West Midlands, which was also the highest score in the UK.
Winners from all over the UK and Ireland will join Sherrie at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May.

Wow, what an inspiring piece of work considering that it is a cake design done entirely out of flowers! Goes to show the art and talent that is used to create such wonderful designs.

great work
Ive seen some elaborate designs in the past for both floral decorations and cakes but those pictures above really are something special. Its a very mature design aswell. In my experience when people produce some thing that elaborate its usually a disney castle or something like that.
