The George Hotel, Lichfield | Wedding Reception Venues - Lichfield, Staffordshire

We chose The George Hotel in Lichfield as our venue for Ben and my wedding on 17th August this year (2017) and we couldn't have made such a better decision; they accommodated our every wish for our special day, from our own welcome drink which meant a lot to us, to decorating the suite exactly how we wanted for each the ceremony, breakfast and reception.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who helped out on the day (who were polite and made us feel like royalty) but a special thank you to Abbie who helped us in the run up to the day and Tim who ran the day exactly as we wished. He couldn't have been more helpful; everything ran like clockwork and was always there if we needed something. Everything was perfect and expertly organised and we couldn't recommend them more to our friends and family.

The food was delicious throughout the day and everyone commented on how organised the wedding breakfast was, all of our guests rooms (including ours) were extremely clean and beautifully decorated - a good night's sleep was had!

A massive thank you to the George for helping our vision come true for the wedding reception. They were supportive in the lead up with stressed calls from the Bride. They helped to set up the room beautifully. The friendly staff provided the champagne toast for guests. The Garrick Suite was enchanting and grand, the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The food was amazing (buffet and breakfast. ) They thoughtfully packed everything up for us when the night finished. The bridal suite was lovely for the preparations and night. Highly recommend the George.

We wanted to sincerely thank you for your help in making our wedding day perfect. Every detail was carried out and organised wonderfully. From the tastefully decorated Christmas Tree to the superb meal and service, the food was excellent. We couldn’t have wished for the day to have gone any better. You made us all, guests included, feel really special and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to return on our anniversary for many years to come!

Our day was perfect. From the moment we arrived at The George greeted by the red carpet and yourselves we cannot find anything to criticise. The room was stunning and laid out exactly as discussed. The waiting staff and servers were extremely pleasant and efficient. The food was stunning and served in a well organised manner but with a nice break between courses.The whole team provided exquisite experiences for everyone.

This Hotel was our choice for a Wedding Reception and also the accommodation for numerous guests who attended. The Hotel's Wedding planner was without doubt, extremely organised, pleasant and she applied a most professional approach to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day. Full credit must also be awarded to all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They were most pleasant and attentive over the whole weekend. The Garrick Suite was dressed to perfection. Food was of excellent quality both mains and the evening buffet. Similarly breakfast and the carvery. Cleanliness was in evidence in all areas including our accommodation. Our guests were most complimentary about the Hotel and how they had portrayed their excellent hospitality. In our opinion, anyone who has any apprehension about booking this Hotel for a Wedding Reception or accommodation, to be assured the service and quality is of a very high standard.

Mark and I would like to say a big Thank You to all the staff who worked so hard throughout our wedding day on Friday 4 March 2016. We had a wonderful day, with all our expectations exceeded. The attention paid to setting up the room for our wedding breakfast was second to none, the food was excellent and all our guests commented on both the quality, and on how the pace of the service was nicely spaced out. When we were looking for a wedding venue we were recommended The George by friends, and we would not hesitate to repeat this recommendation in the future.
