Keylight Photography was formed in 2001, when professional freelance photographer and photographic consultant Jonathon Dow wanted to begin a fully functional company. Aiming productivity at both the domestic and commercial customer groups allowed Keylight to offer a wide range of services, from weddings, portraits and portraiture, to commercial advertising imagery, digital image manipulation and restoration, but also fine art examples for exhibition in bars, restaurants and in the home.
“I have always had a keen interest in photography since I was a child. Trying to capture an image in order to make it last indefinitely, yet at the same time allowing the viewer to look again and see a different side to the same photograph.
After I qualified with a photographic diploma in 1998, which included digital graphic design, both passed with merit, I became a photographic consultant, working in and around the midlands for various photographic retailers. I became the specialist for a large retail chain and worked at a premiere outlet in Nuneaton, Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester and Gloucester for many years. We aim to be the most reliable Warwickshire wedding photographer. As I continued with this work I began to offer my services to customers on a freelance one-on-one basis to teach photographic skills and aide my customers to take better photographs. Ones which they would be very proud of. Having acquired a taste for freelance work, I began to plan, structure and build Keylight Photography from the ground up. Every part of the business, from web design and accountancy, to in-home customer consultancy, all photography and portfolio creation.”
Keylight now offers wedding videography and marryoke music videos. Jonathon has created music and corporate videos for many years, and this step forward is new from 2016. With packages from only £850. Please see the website for examples and package information.
Our Mission Statement
It is our policy to ensure that all of our customers are treated with full professionalism, discretion and courtesy at all times and to ensure that every one is fully satisfied with the results of their products.
As our products and services improve, it is our aim to offer our customers a free upgrade to the nearest improved service to that which was originally booked. This, we feel is important as many customers book far in advance of their required service date and in this time we may find better methods of creating the perfect portfolio.
We offer free field consultations to all of our customers, to allow proper viewings of our portfolio work and time to discuss specific requirements, all in the comfort of your own home.
We have a consultation lounge and gallery on site, allowing you to visit us, with ample parking and a nice hot cup of freshly prepared tea / coffee. Viewings by appointment only.

We believe that our customers should be fully in control of the copyright regulations associated with photographic material. This is why we always give away either the full original set of negatives (for film based services) and/or the original full quality digital files, in uncompressed format (for digital services). This means that:
You will be able to create you own reprints and enlargements, unrestricted, at regular ‘high street’ prices (rather than expensive professional enlargements by the photographic company).
You will be able to publicise your images in any media format, such as magazines, newspapers, TV and the internet.
If your portfolio becomes lost or damaged, you have the original material available.
For amateur up and coming models, there are no restrictions with distribution.
