The Day Has Arrived

13.30
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kissed twice on the balcony to the delight of tens of 1000's of onlookers. A formal reception hosted by the Queen for 650 will now begin with a less formal reception later for 350 hosted by The Prince of Wales.

Five bridesmaids and two pageboys will escort Kate. Bridesmaids are wearing white and pages are very elegantly dressed in red and gold military and white trousers. Kate and her father are traveling down Whitehall, with just two minutes to go.

Silk tulle in ivory with no gathers, with French Chantilly Lace forms the dress. But we won't know who designed it till she leaves the car. Kate is wearing a simple diamond tiara with her hair flowing. Her father Micheal is beaming with pride after he no doubt has said his sweet goodbyes to his daughter as he prepares her to become a future Queen.

AND IT IS AN ALEXANDER McQUEEN!, by Sarah Burton.
The tiara has been loaned to Kate by the Queen herself. Kate's shoulders are covered and the train is shorter than expected but fits perfectly with the dress.
Final adjustments now take place with the train as she prepares to walk towards Prince William and become his wife.

10.53
Delicate veil and lots of detailed lace. Hair is flowing, and she waves with a brilliant smile to everyone cheering her.

Richard Ward and James Pryce are responsible for Kate's hair, and many other of the guests for the wedding too. James Pryce has been looking after Kate's hair for many years, and says that Kate has been lovely to work with since she was a teenager. Whether the hair is up or down, there was a little little slip in the interview that may give a clue: Richard stated that he was holding the 'clips' for James as he practised many times with Kate's styling for the wedding! Maybe - a 'up' style then. Can't wait to see if there is a tiara within the style. It's likely that one from the Crown Jewels will be offered to Kate.
