Couples are being given the chance to win a wedding cake of their dreams.
The Belfry’s pastry chef will design and create a bespoke celebratory cake for one couple who book during February and March to hold their wedding at the resort in Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield.
The lucky winners of the prize draw will be announced at The Belfry’s wedding open day on Sunday, April 15 when couples choosing a venue for their big day will have the opportunity to be given a personal guided tour of the extensive facilities.
The Belfry’s experienced special events team organise around 80 weddings a year at the resort including traditional receptions, civil ceremonies and partnerships, renewal of vows and Asian weddings.
Pre-boooked visitors to the wedding open day will be welcomed with canapés and Champagne before being shown around a selection of suites set-up for a wedding ceremony and breakfast.
Pastry chef Dean Cole said: “The cake is one of the main focal points of a wedding with newly-weds cutting the first slice in front of family and friends to celebrate their marriage.
“The choice is an important one with couples often wanting it to reflect their wedding theme as well as their personalities and these days more are deciding to have something more adventurous to a traditional tiered cake.
“The couple who win the competition will be involved with me in the whole process, from sketching design ideas to choosing the ingredients, to ensure they get the wedding cake of their dreams.
“Wedding cakes can be expensive, running into hundreds of pounds, so this is a fantastic opportunity for one couple to have it taken care of by The Belfry.”
The Belfry is also offering £250 of high street vouchers for couples booking a wedding at the resort on selected dates between May and September this year.
